Name screening is one of those processes that is always in motion. It runs in the background of onboarding and monitoring, consistently generating results that need to be reviewed, understood, and acted upon. Over time, however, the effort often shifts from running the check to making sense of what it returns.
In our recent webinar, the discussion covered how name screening is implemented in practice and the challenges associated with reviewing screening outputs. It is observed that while screening systems continue to expand in terms of coverage and datasets, the effort required to interpret results remains significant. Particular attention was given to the impact of false positives, fragmented data points such as PEP and adverse media, and the time involved in reviewing alerts.
